It's a Christmas Miracle!
Ah Greece. Ancient civilization of mortals and gods. Socrates and Plato. The Olympic Games. Summer sun (...or in this case, winter rain); ouzo and lamb; breaking plates; swarthy men; pickpockets? Beats me but we are about to find out.
Rik and I planned a trip to Greece in 2019. Then, as they say in China, "The Pandemic" happened. All was lost. Bummer.
But, things have a way of turning out. My 17-year-old goddaughter, Clara, is a fan of Greek Mythology and a Christmas vacation to Greece together seems like a great way to spend time together, escape the snow, and make our trip even better than previously planned.
Getting a passport seemed like a straight-forward process. We applied months ago. But, due to a comedy of errors, Clara received her passport on December 23rd. Nothing like leaving it to the last minute.
Now that it's settled and we are actually going, I'm excited to explore this mysterious land and see what kind of adventures we can have. Come along for the ride and if you make a comment, add your name. Opa!
